Bulosan does not spare the reader any of the horrors that accompanied the migrant’s life’ but his quiet, stoic voice is the most convincing witness to the terrible events he witnessed.

Carlos Bulosan is my Great-uncle that I heard stories about from my father. This book reconnected me with my heritage and the culture in which I experienced. The hardships and truths told in this book only depicts parts of what I know my ancestors has gone through. It gives me great hope and courage to know the struggle and that I have it in me to make the world a better place.

As I begin my journey towards Chiropractic the first book that was assigned to me was The Chiropractic Text Book. This book contains the essence of Chiropractic and lays down the foundation in which I am grasping on to. Without any spice, it is the whole-hearted idea of Chiropractic and I recommend this book to anyone who would like to understand this idea.

Music has been my driving force, my resonating thought all throughout my childhood and young adult years. As I dive deep into Chiropractic during my studies, I find immense correlations with sound, music and healing and health. This book helped me build these connections and find both Chiropractic and Music very important in our lives. I recommend this book to all music lovers who find deeper meaning in music other than listening purposes.
